Ah yes, the season of warmth is slowly taking over. You know what this means? I didn't think so, because I never told anyone.
I own guns. I shoot them.... often.
I don't tell many because I simply don't care, but I want to write something.... oh the tangled web I weave.
Anywho, I am born and raised country style. ANYONE GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT!? I listen to country music and enjoy a chunk of it, I know how to gut a deer, and I know how to load, unload, sight, and shoot a gun. It's safe to say I'm not a gun poser.... you know, the people who run around and threaten to blow shit up and never operated a gun or explosive in their lifetime? I'm not one of them.... because if I wanted, I could take my Ruger Bear Cat .22 Western Style Revolver, and hit a target dead on as long as it's in range and the sights are set. This is something I can do, I am proud of, and I enjoy doing it.
Anyone else raised country? Know how to shoot?
Anyone else like country music? Even a song? Throw me a bone now people.
--------------- Lately I have been quite productive indeed.... in the music field at least. My current experiment for the soundtrack is working with 5th and open chords. Right now I'm testing out the I-V-I-V-V-I (x2) pattern. I really don't know how many of you know what I just said, but if you have an idea, rock on.
Aaaaaanyways, I have a few reviews for you.
Review 1 - Axe Body Spray
This stuff rules.... seriously. At first I thought it was some crappy mainstream thing that would die quickly, but I got a free sample in the mail, nand my brother (Nick) bought some real good stuff and I can't stop stealing his. It works wonders, and I use it for layer one for the "Jeff is a Strange Mouselike Creature but Smalls Nice" masterplan. MY first layer is body spray. This stuff smells great, and makes clothing small good after the day wears on. If you smoke, go to red eye, work out, or like long lasting good smells, take my word for it.... this stuff is the bomb. Don't diss it until you try it... I was skeptical at first myself, but now I use it everyday.
Review 2 - Sahara (movie)
I have seen many action movies.... many indeed. When I saw the previews, I did not know what to think of this movie (Matthew McConoughay, Penelope Cruz) but after doing my research, I discovered it was an adaption of a Clive Cussler Novel. That means nothing to most of you, right? Well, I read his stuff on occasion, and it is solid, witty, and has swearing and sex in it. I like that stuff. Anywho, this movie keeps the swearing, but besides Penelope Cruz being my current girlfriend (OMGLOL!!11111SWTF?) no real sex is in it. I dont even remember it being implied. Swearing, although present..... is really light. Instead, the movie sticks to the plot.
This action movie has a plot.
The movie has a good amount of action, but it's not some half assed Universal Soldier sequel.
Matthew plays "Dirk Pitt." An ex-Navy Seals operative that now works on a boat used to revocer lost artifacts from the bottle of the ocean. He knows his science, and has his partner with him almost all the time. His partner (don't remember the actors name) is "Al." He steals the scenes multiple times with his comic relief and equal importance as the bigger roles in the movie. Seriously, he is like the gun guy. Matthew is the obvious lead of the movie, but Al is just as important.
The story takes out little cast into the Niger River. A disease broke out and is killing the natives. The disease is fast killing, and threatens the United States. Penelope Cruz is the doctor on the case, and Matthew is on a boat searching for a lost Ironclad from the Civil War.
Overall, great movie, I stopped where I did so I did not reveal enough info to be considered spoilers..... so yeah, check this movie out. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE CRITICS. It's a solid movie, and Matthew makes a GREAT action hero. This is his first action movie.... sooooo, if you have casting problems.... shut up.
